VectorForge Game Catalog
Complete catalog of known VectorForge Interactive releases and projects.
NEON DRIFT
Year: 1984 | Platform: Arcade Cabinet | Genre: Action / Platformer
|
VectorForge's debut title. The player controls a luminous figure navigating
a series of neon-outlined platforms suspended in void space. Platforms shift
and rotate as you progress, requiring precise timing and spatial awareness.
The game introduced VectorForge's signature visual style: clean vector lines
on pure black, with color used sparingly for emphasis. Earned a small but
dedicated following in Bay Area arcades.

PRISM LOCK
Year: 1984 | Platform: Arcade Cabinet, Commodore 64, Apple II | Genre: Puzzle / Reflex
|
VectorForge's best-selling title. Rotating geometric shapes descend toward a
central prism, and the player must align and lock them into place before they
reach the core. Combines the spatial reasoning of a puzzle game with the
fast-twitch demands of an action title. The Commodore 64 port, released in
1985, was praised for its faithful translation of the arcade visuals. Considered
by many to be VectorForge's masterpiece.

GRIDLINE RALLY
Year: 1985 | Platform: Arcade Cabinet, Commodore 64 | Genre: Racing
|
VectorForge's entry into the racing genre. The player pilots a wireframe
hovercraft through a series of neon grid-lined tracks suspended in space.
Tracks featured elevation changes, sharp banking curves, and hazards that
would shatter your craft on contact. Supported two-player simultaneous racing
on the arcade cabinet. The Commodore 64 port was released later in 1985,
though it could only render single-player mode due to hardware constraints.

VOID STALKER
Year: 1987 | Platform: Arcade Cabinet | Genre: Space Combat / Shooter
|
VectorForge's last commercially released title. A first-person space combat
game where the player defends a convoy of transport ships against waves of
pirate fighters. Introduced an innovative shield mechanic: energy could be
redirected between front, rear, and lateral shields in real time, forcing
players to constantly manage their defensive posture. Arcade operators praised
the game's earn potential, but distribution was limited by the declining
vector cabinet market.

DANK ARMADA
[ UNRELEASED ]
Year: 1985-1986 (in development) | Platform: Commodore 64 (prototype) | Genre: Space Shooter
|
VectorForge's final project, and its most enigmatic. Developed by Elliot R.,
a teenage programmer from the Bay Area, Dank Armada was a vector-style
space shooter built on the Commodore 64. VectorForge signed the game after
discovering it at a home computer show in early 1986. The game featured an
unusual orbital station approach mechanic and level geometry that its creator
described as something he "found" rather than designed.
Developer: Elliot R.
Status: Never released. Development ceased when VectorForge closed in 1990.
Notes: Prototype code recovered from C64 disks. Portions of the source have
surfaced in private collections, but no complete build is known to exist.
